Riverbar & Kitchen

Riverbar is a relaxed all-day outpost that laps up its waterside setting on Eagle Street Pier. Outside, diners sit under yellow umbrellas, watching exercise enthusiasts and early city workers scurry by, while the breezy nautical-themed interior provides refuge from the elements.

The open design allows visitors to catch glimpses of the river from most places in the large venue, creating a laid-back atmosphere that sees seats fill quickly on warm days.

Days start early with fresh, seasonal breakfasts and coffee by Sydney’s Single Origin Roasters. Come 10am, the bar opens for brunch cocktails. Served by the jug, concoctions such as Pimms or passion fruit sangria are available until the late evening hours.

Much the same as breakfast, the lunch and dinner menus of bar snacks and mains change with the seasons, but the crowd-pleasing soft shell crab burger is available year-round. Other beverage options include housemade lemonade, beer (the taps also change seasonally) and a variety of local and international wine.
