LB2 Specialty Coffee
Features
Take a stroll down Gallagher’s Place and look for the dark wood frontage to find LB2.
Owner Veng Ear is seriously passionate about coffee. He encourages his crew to push the boundaries and keep evolving, but it still believes in perfecting the basics. Thanks to this and the beans supplied by Axil and Cartel, LB2 has turned many a milky-coffee drinker into an espresso fan.
A long counter stretches across the entire length of the cafe, with a small selection of sweets and sandwiches at one end and a dedicated station for bagging up take-home beans at the other.
Two cold-drip towers from Tiamo are constantly in action during the summer months, with Cartel’s single-origin Ethiopian Guji a standout.
The friendly service is a welcome escape from the nine-to-five grind. So, too, is the half-cafe, half-bar vibe.
