Homeboy
Features
Leaping from its beginings as the Hahndorf cafe that gained more than half a million social media followers, Homeboy 2.0 brings its loved focaccia sangas and cinnamon scrolls to the CBD.
The cafe – with its Scandinavian and Japanese-inspired aesthetics – takes up a small but stylish space on the ground floor of Yugo Adelaide, a 725-bed student accommodation building on North Terrace.
The menu sticks to the basics and does them well. Pick between four sandwiches, including a mortadella and cheddar toastie, and the “Tommy’s Pick” (prosciutto, mozzarella, rocket and balsamic glaze) on fluffy focaccia. Or grab a cinnamon scroll, baked fresh every 30 minutes, and a coffee made with Homeboy’s house beans.
There’s also an intimate courtyard, planter boxes, and a hole-in-the-wall service window in keeping with the faster pace of the city.
