This One Thing: A (Pretty Much) Free Wagyu Cheeseburger From a Norwood Fine Diner

Got plans this Friday? For the entire month of October Jake Kellie’s restaurant Arkhe is giving away a free-ish Mayura Station cheeseburger every Friday lunch.

Arkhe is best known for fine-dining Australian barbeque. There are huge cuts of sweet and marbled Mayura Station beef from the Limestone Coast and bar snacks like caviar-topped hash browns and bruléed duck liver tartlets. And now, for the month of October, there’s also an incredible cheeseburger deal.

Anyone sitting in the Norwood diner’s front bar or breezy courtyard will pick up a complimentary cheeseburger when they spend $10 or more. So grab a beer or a glass of red and then get a burger from one of the country’s best young chefs thrown in for free.

What: Arkhe cheeseburger
How: A seared Mayura Station Wagyu beef patty topped with a slice of cheese and bread-and-butter pickles from small producer My Grandma Ben is sandwiched between two halves of a brioche potato bun, slathered in house-made barbeque sauce.
Cost: Free with any purchase on $10 or more.
Where: In Arkhe’s bar or courtyard on Friday lunchtimes (between midday and 3pm) in the month of October.
