Pogo Coffee Roasters
The first thing you notice about Pogo Kent Town is that it’s playful. Its vivid pinks and blues, alongside the cartoon-ish logo, are what the coffee roasters are known for: fun, bright brews without a sniff of coffee snobbery.
What also sets this espresso bar apart is that its coffee is air-roasted, rather than the traditional drum-roasted beans you might find at other roasters. For the uninitiated, this process suspends the beans in a fluid bed and uses controlled blasts of hot air to roast them – creating fully developed flavours without any acidity or burnt taste.
That's evident right across the drinks menu, which offers a variety of high-quality espressos, batch brew, cold brew, frappes and smoothies along with your trusty flat whites, lattes, and other coffee staples. While waiting for your order, you might also pick up a bag of its appropriately named blends: Flow, Bounce, Rush, Spark or Dash, and browse its brew equipment.
While the coffee is the star of the show, there’s also a cabinet full of great takeaway food options. Grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items might include granolas, sandwiches, and pastries from Prove Patisserie. The food offering is subject to change, with rotating classics, such as its take on a Reuben and brekkie bagels, along with vegetarian and vegan focaccias.
