You’re probably a cool kid if your parents name a cafe after you. For Artie & Mai owners, Jimmy and Monica Strong, it works both ways. When they named their business after their two children, they sealed its fate as one of Albion’s liveliest destinations.

Located in a pillar box-red, heritage listed terrace, Artie & Mai has an eclectic flavour. Jazzed-up brunch classics include spring onion and fetta hash cakes or banana French toast with candied bacon ice cream. Hearty lunchtime fare comes in the form of burgers, duck ragu or a roast pumpkin, fresh cauliflower, goats cheese and spinach salad.

Enjoy a daytime tipple with bottled beers from Australian craft brewers such as Burleigh Brewing and Duke and a range of Australian and New Zealand wines.

The good times roll into evening with Artie & Mai’s regular after hours events, which including a Supper Club with seasonal menus – check the website for details of upcoming events.
