Merriweather

Merriweather might be small, but its efficient turnover and service make the most of its busy corner site overlooking the tranquil Musgrave Park.

The cafe’s friendly staff are always ready to organise a table, or pour you a brew from Woolloongabba supplier Coffee Supreme while you wait.

Merriweather works with supplier Food Connect to source all of its produce from local small holders and experienced organic farmers, a commitment to freshness that is evident from the plethora of products made in-house, including all relishes and jams.

The menu is broad and versatile with everything available for both breakfast and lunch. Although it changes quite often, the potato and caramelised onion hash has always remained in some form or other (it’s that good).

All of the colourful baked treats that feature in the cabinet are baked fresh daily in-house, with an ever-changing array of cheese cakes, ginger breads and pastries. Provisions in the form of Bee One Third honey are also available for takeaway.
