When the sun comes up, the last thing most people would recommend for a hangover is to return to the scene of the crime. Carved out of a corner of Bakery Lane Precinct and cited behind the always-popular Laruche Kiosk might just be the exception that proves the rule.

Whether it was intentional or not, the menu seems entirely composed of things perfect to put a spring back in your step after a heavy night. Young coconuts, fresh pressed juices, creative smoothies and salving salads are the watchwords at Kiosk.

But if yours is the kind of hangover that only carbs and fat can really allay, there’s always the popular pork belly sandwich, a hulking mound of sticky pork belly, apple and fennel slaw and mayo on lightly toasted bread. Coffee comes from local roaster Bare Bones if you’re still in need of a kick.

The seating is all al fresco style and mellow tunes drift through the laneway from early in the morning. If the sun is shining, this is a perfect spot to relax and revive. And maybe, even start planning for the evening ahead.
