Settlers Tavern

Settlers Tavern is in the centre of Margaret River’s main street. It’s a pub, music venue, wine bar, bistro and smoke house with a proper American Yoder-brand smoker that’s fired up daily at dawn.

“The Tav” is edgy and alternative yet has the soul of a surf destination and services tourists as much as locals. There’s a sports bar at the front, bar and bistro in the centre, and two alfresco areas, either overlooking the street or in the rear beer garden.

The space books 250 music acts annually with big-name bands about 20 times per year – recent acts include Wolfmother, Ash Grunwald and Birds of Tokyo. Sundays are for the Sunday Sesh with foot-stomping beats and Thursdays host acoustic blues and roots sets.

The incredible wine list offers 25 wines by the glass and 500 local (of course) and imported bottles.

The bistro serves up to 1200 meals on a busy day with a menu catering to the masses such as barbequed and smoked meats, Texas-style brisket, pulled pork, mac’n’cheese, burgers, parmas, curries, tacos, fish and chips, and more.
