Manchester Press
Features
Manchester Press is busy all the time, every day of the week. Once you sit down at one of its heavy-set wooden tables to sip the daily rotating coffee from guest roasters, you’ll know why.
Manchester Press focuses on consistent coffee. Its house blend is by 8oz Coffee Roasters, and there is a constantly changing single origin and batch brew. This is how owners Nir Kalif and Issy Shaked have made this old warehouse a destination.
Also a signature of Manchester Press is its wide selection of bagels. This includes open and closed varieties, and sweet ones in the breakfast section. Compared to some cafes this offering might seem narrow, but the menu here is all about reliability, and Manchester Press nails it.
The venue is named after a printing press that once occupied the venue. It has high ceilings, barred windows and an exposed-brick façade. The interior is softened by a combination of low-hanging lampshades and wooden tables, with iron seats and scrap-yard bric-a-brac.
Be prepared for a bit of a wait on weekends and at lunchtimes, because its central position makes it a favourite for corporates and university students.
