Features

Stovetop’s name comes from the stovetop burners, each of which have a Bialetti coffee maker perched on top, making one of two guest blends that will rotate in two-month cycles. In addition, one of Stovetop’s own family-roasted blends will be available on a daily basis.

Stovetop really is a family affair – a joint venture by brothers George and Sam Seoud. The brothers know that to make a mark on Melbourne’s coffee scene, you need good food as well as a good brew, so the menu is stocked with unique dishes like duck eggs baked in sautéed spinach, sweet potato and chia seed latkes, and the satisfying corned Wagyu beef brioche. A range of desserts are also baked in-house daily.

The space is industrial with a modern edge, with pale timbers, 1960s-inspired white decorative besser blocks and a custom-made timber feature light fitting marrying the old and the new flawlessly.
