In big bridge news, the counter on the How Many Days Since the Montague Street Bridge Has Been Hit website has been reset to zero.
Around 11am today, a truck struck the bridge in South Melbourne, which has a notoriously low clearance of three metres but is well signposted after more than 90 years of carnage.
Vic Traffic reported that the left lane was closed at 11.14am:

While past collisions have been almost comically contained, this one was messy. The truck in question appeared to have been decapitated by the bridge, with its contents on full display as one side lay wide open.
