If you’ve ever been at a standstill on Hoddle Street (likely), you might’ve noticed the flashy, towering Honda car dealership on the corner of Langridge Street in Collingwood.

It recently sold, and on the last Sunday of every month – from July 31 until the end of the year – it’ll be transformed into the newly announced Collingwood Artisan Market.

While the offering will be slightly different each month, expect more than 100 stalls championing all things Victorian made: ethically conscious homewares, fashion and produce, as well as local food trucks and musos. There’ll be The Real Jerk food truck, Cheeky Rascal Cider, Folkstore, Mindfulness Energy and a whole lot more.

The more than 5000-square-metre site was acquired by Malaysian property developer UEM Sunrise Berhad in 2020, which has since submitted plans to turn it into a “mixed-use” precinct in 2023. Until then, it’s teamed up with market operator Bourne Local to run these pop-ups. Since 2020, the local business has hosted a raft of different artisan markets across town at Elwood Park as well as in Berwick’s Wilson Botanic Park.

The Collingwood Artisan Market will run at 21/53 Hoddle Street, Collingwood on the last Sunday of every month until the end of the year, starting from July 31. Entry will be free.
