Premier Daniel Andrews announced yesterday that Victorians can now get their booster after three months – instead of four.
And to facilitate the influx, a four-day vaccination “blitz” is happening from this Friday to next Monday. It means 60,000 appointments have been added across the state and walk-ins will be encouraged at several state-run centres.
That includes the Royal Exhibition Building (walk-in from 8am to 8pm), Latrobe University Bundoora (walk-in from 8am to 8pm), Sandown Racecourse (walk-in from 9am to 6.30pm Saturday and Sunday), Dandenong Plaza (walk-in from 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday), Frankston’s Bayside Centre (walk-in from 9.30am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday), Sunshine Hospital (walk-in from 8am to 8pm), Bendigo Vaccination Hub (walk-in from 9am to 8pm) and Ballarat Mercure (walk-in from 8.30am to 3pm on Sunday).
