The Internet’s Favourite Couple – Phoebe Bridgers and Paul Mescal – Spotted Walking Hand in Hand on Smith Street in Fitzroy

This is not how we expected our Wednesday morning to go.

Peering out the window of Broadsheet Melbourne’s Fitzroy offices just after 11.30am, we spied US muso and inducer of many tears Phoebe Bridgers and Normal People actor and tiny-chain-wearer Paul Mescal – the internet’s (and our) favourite couple.

They were casually walking hand in hand on the corner of Smith and Moor streets – Bridgers in her signature skeleton tee, Mescal donning more of a beard than we’re used to.

While we knew Mescal was in town filming upcoming sci-fi thriller Foe alongside Irish fellow superstar Saoirse Ronan – they’ve been spotted gallivanting in Fitzroy – Bridgers’ arrival seems to be a recent, breaking development. And it is setting the internet alight:
