In a press conference on Monday morning, Premier Daniel Andrews announced
lockdown will lift in regional Victoria from 11.59pm tonight “after four days of lockdown and no cases”.

The five reasons to leave home will no longer apply and the restrictions that applied in regional Victoria last Thursday will be in place again. “Today’s a good day for regional Victoria,” Andrews said. “Schools will be open again from tomorrow. Hospitality venues will be open. People will be able to go back to work if they’re an authorised worker.”

Andrews reinforced that no one from Melbourne should be travelling to regional Victoria unless they have a valid region. Shop owners and retailers will be establishing the address of each customer, Andrews added.
