In a press conference late on Wednesday night, Premier Daniel Andrews announced a tightening of Melbourne’s coronavirus restrictions.
Home gathering limits have been reduced to 15 from 30 (that means the household members plus 15 visitors), and masks are again mandatory in all public indoor spaces, except when you’re eating or drinking. It’s also strongly recommended that masks be worn by any visitors to your home.
Plus, the planned return to the office for 75 per cent of private-sector and public-sector employees, which was slated for February 8, has been delayed.

SIGN UPThe changes come after a hotel-quarantine worker at the Grand Hyatt tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
During the press conference, Andrews also listed the exposure sites connected to the case. If you visited any of the sites during the specified windows, you must immediately isolate, get a Covid-19 test and remain isolated for 14 days.
