Eighty per cent of Victorians are set to be single-dose vaccinated by Tuesday September 28. So, in a press conference on Sunday morning, Premier Daniel Andrews confirmed a “modest” easing of restrictions – as planned – from 11.59pm on that day.
In metro Melbourne and those parts of regional Victoria that are currently locked down, the 10-kilometre lockdown radius will be extended to 15 kilometres.
And recreational activities at outdoor facilities – such as boating, tennis and golf – will be able to resume. “There’ll be rules, there’ll be some formality to that … but that activity will be able to occur,” Andrews said. The same rules will apply as at picnics: up to two people who are not fully vaccinated, or up to five people who are fully vaccinated.

SIGN UPChanges to personal training will also come into effect: the cap will extend to five fully vaccinated people with a fully vaccinated personal trainer.
“What that means is that all the things we said we’d be able to do when we hit 80 per cent, we are doing,” said Andrews.
In regional Victoria, meanwhile, the outdoor-venue limit will be lifted from 20 to 30 people.
It comes after the state recorded 779 new locally acquired cases of coronavirus.
