In a press conference this afternoon, Premier Daniel Andrews announced that hospitality, retail and more would reopen in metro Melbourne from 11.59pm on October 27.

But he also announced another round of relaxations that will come into effect on November 9, if we can continue driving case numbers down.

Here’s what you can expect – if things go as planned – from 11.59pm on November 8:

• The 25-kilometre lockdown radius will be scrapped.
Travel between metro and regional Victoria will be allowed, and accommodation will reopen.
• The capacity of restaurants, bars, pubs and cafes will increase, with up to 40 people allowed inside and 70 outside.
• Gyms and indoor fitness centres will reopen, with strict safety precautions in place, for a maximum of 20 people.
• For religious gatherings, up to 20 people (plus a faith leader) will be allowed indoors, and up to 50 people (plus a faith leader) outdoors.
• For funerals, a maximum of 20 mourners will be allowed indoors (and 50 will be permitted outdoors).
• Indoor non-contact sports will be back on the cards for kids, where 1.5-metre spacing can be in place.
• Indoor pools will reopen for 20 people.
