In the past 48 hours at least two dozen new locations, including Highpoint Shopping Centre, have been added to the Victorian government’s list of coronavirus exposure sites following the 15-case City of Whittlesea outbreak.

Since Broadsheet’s previous update at 8.45am this morning, several new sites have been added: Circus Bar in South Yarra, Three Monkeys in Prahran, Somewhere Bar in Prahran, Endless Lifestyle Studio in Balwyn, RMIT Building 56 in Carlton and Duke’s Gym in Abbotsford. Consult coronavirus.vic.gov.au/exposure-sites for immediate advice if you have visited any of these locations recently.

On Twitter, a user named Nick Devereaux says that Kmart at Barkly Square in Brunswick is currently closed due to a recent visit from a person infected with Covid.

While Barkly Square is yet to be added to the DHS’s list, centre management has issued a statement confirming the visit, and reporting that the person also went to Priceline Pharmacy, OPSM and Woolworths between 1.15pm and 2.30pm on May 22. Staff members at these stores have been told to get tested for coronavirus and stay home for 14 days.

Anyone who visited during this time should get tested immediately and wait for further advice from the DHS on whether Barkly Square is to be classed tier 1 (isolate for 14 days) or tier 2 (isolate until negative result received).
