With 80 per cent of Victorians set to be single-dose vaccinated today, Tuesday September 28, a “modest” easing of restrictions is planned for 11.59pm. “What that means is that all the things we said we’d be able to do when we hit 80 per cent, we are doing,” Premier Daniel Andrews said in a press conference on Sunday. Here’s what’s changing.
From 11.59pm on Tuesday September 28:
• The 10-kilometre lockdown radius will be extended to 15 kilometres. Instantly check what’s within your new radius here.
• “Contactless” outdoor physical recreation – including boating, tennis and golf – will be able to resume. The same gathering limit will apply as at picnics: up to two people who are not fully vaccinated, or up to five people who are fully vaccinated.
• Outdoor personal training is allowed for five fully vaccinated people with a fully vaccinated trainer.
• The additional restrictions on playgrounds will be lifted – gathering limits will apply, but masks can be removed to eat and drink at the playground.
