Quick and healthy is a tricky takeaway combination to achieve, but Foxes Den pulls it off. Owners Hayden Dyt and Tony Mims noticed a gap in the takeaway chicken market – it hadn’t progressed beyond greasy chicken and chips for decades.
Foxes Den serves as a dine-in and takeaway chicken shop with a healthy focus. The chooks are free-range, chemical and hormone-free from Bannockburn – a township just northwest of Geelong.
Surprisingly though, the place sells more salad than chicken. The options rotate regularly, but are consistently plentiful – a salad made mostly of lettuce doesn’t cut it here. Ingredients such as grains, soba noodles and broccoli make for something more substantial. Apart from chicken and salad packs, there are chicken rolls, curries and meatballs available.
If the fizz cravings kick in, Foxes Den has it covered with its homemade soft drinks. Cucumber rosemary and lemon; watermelon and pomegranate; and apple blueberry and mint are some on the menu.
The dining decor in all branches is bright and modern, boosting customers from the moment they enter.
