Retail is back, and Stylerunner is coming.

The online marketplace – which specialises in premium, luxe activewear and sneakers for women – is opening its first-ever bricks-and-mortar store on High Street in Armadale this weekend.

Since Aussie sisters Julie and Sali Stevanja launched the site in 2012, it’s become a hub for top-tier local labels such as PE Nation, The Upside and Nimble, as well as international imports such as Nike, Adidas and Alo Yoga.

It also stocks emerging sportswear labels such as La Detresse, Adam Selman Sport and Exie – and will next month launch its own activewear and athleisure line.

All of these labels and more will be on the racks at the activewear giant’s slick new 200-square-metre store, which was designed by Melbourne creative studio Noise Noise Noise.

The fit-out steers away from the rudimentary white walls and timber floors. Using nature as a reference point, there’s a lake-like structure made with sycamore timber, marble and champagne steel, and a neon “cloud” hanging above the bulbous furniture.

Stylerunner opens at 1152–1154 High Street, Armadale on Saturday.
