But now, another beloved Brunswick business has picked up where it left off.
Wild Life Bakery has moved into the site at 365 Sydney Road, opening Wild Life Superette, a mini supermarket serving all the Wild Life classics – plus cheese.

SIGN UPHarper & Blohm was a favourite of Wild Life founder Huw Murdoch (and his mum), so he’s honouring its legacy with a tight edit of topnotch local and international cheese, focusing on Comté and Colston Bassett Stilton. Do a tasting, then get some to take home.
A supersized decal of a loaf of bread marks the spot at the sunny shopfront. Go for the sourdough loaves that have made Wild Life a neighbourhood favourite since opening in 2017, plus pastries, sweets and other takeaway goods.
You’ll also find coffee, cookbooks and preserved items, which the team ferments, pickles and cans in-house.
