In the coming weeks, the City of Melbourne will roll out a new scheme offering savings of up to 20 per cent at CBD restaurants and cafes.

It’s similar to the two voucher schemes the government ran recently to get more people travelling to regional Victoria and in and around metro Melbourne.

This time around, to help support city businesses specifically, the state government has set aside $7.4 million to get the scheme off the ground. While the City of Melbourne will contribute an extra $1 million.
