In March last year, Aussie supermarket giant Coles transformed its Moonee Ponds location into a flagship “sustainability focused” concept store. At the same time, the entire Coles Group made an ambitious commitment to be powered by 100 per cent renewable electricity by the end of the 2025 financial year, and to deliver net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
In June, it opened a fancy Coles Local store in Fitzroy with a similar ethos. And it’s just unveiled the latest addition to the Coles Local stable – at one of its existing Melbourne locations, on Doncaster Road in Balwyn North.
“We have several exciting new store features tailored to our local area,” said manager Kris Flindt-Peterson in a statement.
