• Julia Busuttil Nishimura is hosting Ostro Holiday Market next Saturday December 14 at 47 Derby Street, Collingwood from 9am to 2pm. There’ll be a curated selection of some of Busuttil Nishimura’s favourite items from brands including Lee Matthews and Constante. The cookbook author will also have trays of her of cardamom shortbread on hand, and will be signing books.
• Avani, the Red Hill winery known for pop-up dinners with chefs like Helly Raichura and Tom Sarafian, now offers an Indian-inspired lunch menu including burrata chaat and chicken tikka skewers every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
• Madeleine de Proust has made three holiday treats available until Sunday December 22: an orange-infused madeleine with fruit mince pie ganache, citrus madeleine adorned with pistachio buttercream, cherry compote, and a pistachio chocolate glaze, and a bear-shaped gingerbread spiced “ginger bear”.
