Eeny Meeny
Features
Frankston locals like to visit the Frankston Sunday Market and go to Eeny Meeny for breakfast afterwards. It’s become a weekend ritual. Owners Robbie Wright and Sandra Jennings never expected their low-key, retro-styled cafe would get such a response, but they’ve certainly risen to the challenge.
Chef Wright is always creating interesting, wholesome food. Before Eeny Meeny, he worked closely with Elena Bonnici at Yelza Bar then became second chef at Chez Phat. He incorporates Middle Eastern, French and Asian influences into the menu.
The Persian eggs are a breakfast staple. It’s also worth mentioning the housemade sweets, including lemon meringue pie, lamingtons and peanut butter cookies.
Eeny Meeny’s quirky style is one of its most distinct features. Vinyl from Wright and Jennings’ collection hang proudly next to J. H. Lynch prints. There’s also a surprisingly large courtyard out the back, with a chalkboard full of sassy messages.
