Pinkie

Pinkie is the third and smallest cafe in Domenic and Diana Caruso’s stable, which also includes St Rose and No. 19. The saying here is “good food, good mood, good day” – the “pinkie swear” the cafe’s name alludes to.

Biasol is behind the pink-led fit-out, which also features dark tones and blue terrazzo tiles. A glass-block wall in frosted pink steals the show. The space is softened with timber furniture, hanging greenery and two-tone pink cushion seating.

The dishes are beautifully presented and range from everyday items to weekend-only treats such as triple-chocolate pancakes. Popular choices include smashed avocado with salsa verde and pistachio; charred miso-corn toast; and an acai bowl with seasonal fruits, organic crumble and peanut butter.

As the owners are parents themselves, Pinkie caters well to parents and bubs with a menu section for “little peeps” and plenty of room for prams.
