The Boathouse
Sitting along the Maribyrnong River inside picturesque Maribyrnong Park, The Boathouse is a local Moonee Ponds institution in the warmer months.
The all-day eatery is open for breakfast and lunch, plus dinner on the weekends. On the menu, you might find a riff on eggs benedict with barbeque pulled pork; scrambled eggs on sourdough with crunchy chilli oil; and a classic big breakfast. While for lunch, there are burgers, pizzas, salads and fresh seafood. There’s also a modest but well-thought-out selection of beer, wine and cocktails.
The outdoor deck is a great spot to enjoy a drink or two even on the hottest summer days, thanks to an abundance of shady gums and wattle trees. During the colder months, find a table in the bright indoor dining room.
