Menu - Mr Yum

The Little Man cafe feels like an extension of your home. The staff greets its customers by name, and there’s a casual, languid atmosphere that encourages you to stay a while. It’s a vibe that owners Christina Morgan and Chi Teng Chi take great pride in.

The building used to host a dilapidated post office. Now it has a light, bright interior. It’s filled with eclectic pieces, including a plastic gold pineapple on the counter, and a small nutcracker soldier in a light fitting.

Morgan was inspired by the Scandinavian aesthetic. She opted for neutral wood colours and a lot of minimalist white. A good deal of the interior was sourced from overseas.

Unlike the decor, the produce is local. Milk comes from St David Dairy. Industry Beans is the house roast. All meat comes from Eddie the butcher in Newport, and pastries from Noisette.

The Little Man’s strength is brunch. Its potato croquettes with poached eggs, mushroom, asparagus and hollandaise sauce are a steadfast favourite. The lunch menu includes a cold noodle dish with shredded omelette, ham, cucumber, cherry tomatoes; and shredded nori with house-made ponzu sauce.
