Housed on the ground floor of Eleven Eastern, a high-rise office building, Lucia offers contemporary European dining in a sophisticated space. The 80-seat restaurant nods Saint Lucia of Syracuse with custom large-scale works by Melbourne collage artist Simone Esterhuizen, who uses an earthy colour palette of burgundy, silver and amber.

The same hues are used throughout the main ground-floor dining room, where burnt-red velvet chairs contrast with plush grey booths. The space is divided into two sections, with a casual bar where you’re welcome to sit and enjoy a cocktail and a selection of snacks. That might be a Blanc Bakery breadbasket or a fried choux pastry doughnut served with white sturgeon caviar.

If you’re sticking around for a full meal, find trusted European staples including crab linguini, chicken liver parfait with choux pastry and duck fat kipfler potatoes.

There is also a 400-strong list of curated wines on offer, or if you’re more of a cocktail person, consult the list of European-inspired options like Bellinis and half-serve or “two-sip” Martinis and Negronis.

Downstairs you’ll find The Vault, a private 25-seat dining room that makes you feel like you’re on the set of a James Bond movie. It’s fitted out with a soundproof ceiling, a television for presentations and a marble bar.
