Menu - Mr Yum

Located on the Windsor end of Chapel Street, Journeyman has become a staple port of call for many discerning locals. Run by owner Peter Frangoulis since 2008 under Dukes Coffee Roasters, it was renamed Journeyman in 2014 to define the separation between the cafe and roastery side of the business (the roastery has since been moved offsite).

You'll need to be patient to get in on weekends, but once you do it's well worth the wait. The sophisticated fit-out was designed by the internationally renowned Melbourne architect Chris Connell. Surrounded by elegantly black-trimmed, exposed red bricks and untreated timber panelling, this is a place you'd really like to stick around – either flicking through a paper at the communal table or sitting at the bar and watching the barista team work with a graceful, clockwork efficiency.

The food is as perfectly executed as cafe fare gets; and while the menu changes every few months, the locals will never let them take off the avocado hummus toast with candied bacon.
