Little Miss

Miss Amelie is a European bistro and one of Wodonga’s best restaurants. Little Miss is its cocktail-focused sibling next door. Both venues share a building and have similar décor – so they should be thought of as the two sides to one coin.

Little Miss boasts an extensive wine list that focuses on showcasing the drops of the nearby Rutherglen, Beechworth and King Valley regions. (But there are also plenty of Tassie and Barossa heavyweights, too.) Champagne is also a specialty here, so if you want to splash out on a vintage bottle of Bollinger, this is your spot.

Groups should head for one of the comfortable plush booths. If you’re here as a pair or if you’re just enjoying a solo cocktail, pull up one of the pink-cushioned stools at the bar. The pink isn’t limited to upholstery, either: the entire face of the bar is covered in pink-hued tiles.

The rest of the décor keeps things muted, an open-wood fireplace, a sleek polished concrete floor and exposed brick walls and archways give Little Miss a convivial feel.

The cocktails do that, too. We recommend the Mini Miss, which pairs rhubarb gin with raspberry (it’s a very pink drink). The Dark Delight is also a winner, made from white rum, blackberry cinnamon syrup and orange zest. You can’t go wrong with a classic Espresso Martini, either. You can get a cheese platter with your drinks, but for something larger it’s worth heading to Miss Amelie next door for dinner.
