Got a great idea? You could prototype and produce your design with Tait.

The entry period for the Mercedes-Benz Design Award by Broadsheet has been extended to November 2, so there’s still time to enter to win this incredible opportunity.

In contrast to other design awards, you don’t need formal design training to enter. All you need is a great product idea. A rough sketch and a short paragraph explaining your idea is all you need to submit.

As the winning design will be proudly added to the Tait range, it needs to be something that enhances the outdoor experience. This could be dining chairs, lighting, lounges, cutlery, planters – or something entirely unique. The winner will also received mentorship from the Tait team as their product comes to life.

Last year, the finalist designs were a drink trolley by Joshua McKean, a dining chair by Bianca Isgro and a planter by Bradley Mitchell. Mitchell took out the award and his design was prototyped and produced with Jardan.
