Taking inspo from the 1956 Games in Melbourne, the brand has reimagined its iconic carry-on with green and golden touches.

Olympics fever is in the air. There are only 85 days to go until the opening ceremony on the Seine. More than 400 Aussie athletes will be heading to Paris – and they’ll be doing it in style.

Melbourne luggage brand July has worked with the Australian Olympic Committee to create a custom iteration of its Carry On Pro suitcase for the 2024 team.

The palette is inspired by the uniforms worn at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. A textured cream shell is finished with golden hardware, green zippers and leather handles.

“Receiving your Olympic bag is always a special moment, and seeing these designs and the thought put into it by the team at July, I know our athletes in Paris will truly appreciate it,” Australian Olympic Team Chef de Mission Anna Meares said in a statement.

Sportscraft is kitting out the team in formal uniforms and Volley is supplying its iconic shoes for the occasion.

July shot its campaign at Melbourne University, which served as a training ground in 1956.
