When Zoë Foster Blake launched Go-To’s new gin in 2021, she joked on Instagram that the collaboration was a little unexpected. “Gintroducing the Go-To product NO one saw coming: gin!” she wrote.
Yet the “terrifyingly limited” gin – a collaboration with Victorian distiller Four Pillars – sold out within five hours of its release.
Now, in a limited re-release, Four Pillars and Go-To are bringing the sell-out gin back for a third year. It will be released on Wednesday November 22.
This year’s batch has had a citrus upgrade. It combines the bright, refreshing flavours of yuzu, lime, coriander seeds and lemon myrtle with quandong, a native Australian peach from Western Australia.
Foster Blake, who sold 50.1 per cent of her stake in Go-To for $89 million in 2021, suggests you serve the gin with a Go-To Transformazing face mask – a skin and tonic, if you will. It also works well served with ice,
a good quality tonic water and a slice of pear or white peach for a revitalising summer cocktail.
If you want to try the gin this time around, you should be quick. The 700-millilitre bottles will be available to buy from Four Pillars’ website, as well as the Healesville distillery and Sydney Laboratory, from Wednesday November 22 for $85.
