Last year Melbourne jeweller Nye De Marchi took a trip to Greece and returned with 40 nicely shaped pebbles. Using an 8000-year-old technique called lost-wax casting, De Marchi used these objects and others to create the bulbous, organic forms of her newest range, In Two Minds. Each sculptural ring, dangly stone earring, statement choker and droplet pendant is forged from sterling silver, and in many cases later plated in 18-carat gold. We love them all. Maison Balzac incense holder
For its debut incense line, this homewares label looked to the remote Japanese island of Awaji, where a cooperative has been producing incense since 1850. Grab a box of 50 orange-neroli or cedar-sandalwood sticks ($39) and pair them with this 17cm-centimetre-high white-marble holder, inspired by Jean Cocteau’s 1946 film La Belle et La Bete (Beauty and the Beast), in which hands emerge from walls holding candlesticks. $129 / maisonbalzac.com
