The 1975: At Their Very Best Tour
If you’re looking for salvation in the secular age, these guys are not your saviours. English pop-rock band The 1975 are bringing their new world tour to two cities in New Zealand in 2023.
Come April, band members Matty Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald and George Daniel are gracing stages in Auckland and Wellington. It’ll be their first solo tour of the country since 2019 (though they also headlined Laneway Festival in February 2020).
The quartet – behind hits like Chocolate, Sex, Love Me, Somebody Else and The Sound – are set to release their fifth album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language on October 14, with four singles already out. While their past albums have been heavy on synths and programming, Being Funny in a Foreign Language promises minimalism and intimacy.
Other international shows have already sold out, including Madison Square Garden in New York, so best set your alarms for this one.
Pre-sale for American Express card members starts at 9am local on Wednesday October 12, while the Secret Sounds pre-sale starts at 9am local on Thursday 13. General sale begins at 11am local on Friday 14.
