Wu-Tang Clan and Nas at Spark Arena, Auckland
They’re widely considered one of the greatest hip-hop groups of all time, and he’s the multi-platinum icon who goes by one name, three letters. Wu-Tang Clan and Nas wield serious star power – and together, they’re coming to Aotearoa as part of their 2023 NY State of Mind tour.
May 9 will see RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna and Nas take to the stage for one show only at Spark Arena.
In 2018, Wu-Tang played two NZ shows in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking 1993 album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
We’re holding out for rousing bangers from that debut – Bring da Ruckus, Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta Fuck Wit, C.R.E.A.M. and Protect Ya Neck. And from Nas, iconic tracks like If I Ruled the World (Imagine That), NY State of Mind and The World Is Yours.
This show is part of a 2023 global co-headline tour, and comes on the back of a sold-out run through over 25 cities last year – including a memorable show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles that saw LL Cool J, Mary J Blige and Jadakiss make a surprise appearance on stage to perform some tracks.
These guys have been at the top of their game for the last 30 years, and this show is the chance to witness their enduring skill and magnetism for yourself.
