Little Cove is definitely Noosa’s worst-kept secret. Tucked between Main Beach, one of Noosa’s most popular areas, and Noosa National Park – which, among other attractions, has a beloved population of wild koalas – it was probably only a matter of time before people discovered the charms of Little Cove.

Everyone wants a piece of this beautiful little 100-metre stretch of sand. Families love it because it’s sheltered and substantially less hectic than Main Beach. Thanks to those calmer waters, which consistently yield one-to-three-foot breaks, this is also arguably the best spot in Noosa for learning how to surf. Long boarders old and new also love it for those same reasons.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, the only real drawback to Little Cove is that in peak season you may have a tough time securing your spot on the sand. It’s worth a try though – Main Beach is barely a five-minute boardwalk away.
