Any Victorian Pilates fanatic will tell you that Core Plus is a big deal.

Known for low-impact, high-yield workouts and a training method that draws from yoga, weight training and Pilates, the fitness chain expanded to the Sunshine State earlier this year, opening its West End studio in January. Now the Core Plus team is doubling down on Queensland with long-time friends Elly Davison and Eyrlie Wass opening a studio in Kawana today.

With 27 studios across Victoria and Queensland, Core Plus is tried and tested. The brand claims that more than two per cent of the Victorian population are Core Plus members, with the studio clocking up a hefty 1.2 million class visits annually. And although our southern neighbours might be wrong about a few things (calling potato scallops “potato cakes”, for one), their trust in Core Plus is well-placed.

The Kawana studio will offer a trio of hot mat classes in Pilates, yoga flow and strength cardio, alongside more mindful yoga flow practices including hot yoga flow, warm and slow flow, and warm yin flow, as well as heat-free classes and reformer classes (including pre- and post-natal reformer sessions).

The studio opened its doors on Monday May 27 and, to celebrate, it is offering a week of free classes to anyone who downloads the Core Plus app and selects the Kawana studio. The offer is unlimited – anyone who downloads the app can go to as many classes as they like between now and Sunday June 2.
