Bitton
Features
Situated on the Erskineville/Alexandria border and overlooking one of the suburb’s liveliest dog parks, Bitton has become a go-to destination for locals who love a good brunch.
The outdoor tables are always full with satisfied diners taking their time with their meals, something that is very deliberately encouraged by owner and chef David Bitton, who was born in Paris and who believes that there should be no such thing as a “quick bite”.
Bitton serves breakfast and lunch with a Parisian twist; we recommend the one-pan bacon and eggs served together in a French copper dish.
Other highlights include Bitton’s specialty – crepes, and the Moroccan-spiced chicken burger if you’re in for lunch. On your way out, pick up some of Bitton’s own take-home condiments, which are stocked in over 500 retailers Australia-wide, including Thomas Dux, David Jones and Harris Farm. Try the honey-grain mustard, orange jelly or punchy chilli oil, which are also sold through Bitton’s online store.
Grab a seat outside, get comfortable and enjoy a true Parisian treat in the suburb that is fast becoming as Bitton says, “one of Sydney’s true foodie destinations”.
