Stuffed Beaver Dining Parlour

It’s never a bad time at the Stuffed Beaver. Or at least that’s what it says on the lightbox hanging out the front of Bondi Road’s favourite dining parlour. If you’ve never parked at the bar for a session, made out in a booth or, indeed, stuffed yourself at the Beaver, then we’re here to say it: this neighbourhood hottie is in the business of good times, and good times only.

Adam Della-Grotta’s place is a burger joint, dive and home-run date spot rolled into one. In a suburb known for glossy Mediterranean diners and activewear, the Beaver’s Americana kitsch puts it out of step in the best way. If the taxidermied deer head, disco ball and Bloody Marys don’t cast your mind stateside, the cheeseburgers, hot wings and five-star poutine will.

Pints by the Grifter Brewing Co in Marrickville are pouring on rotation. The Beaver also stocks a neat-but-evolving cellar of natty wines, plus the bartenders know their way around the classics. Every day is a bad day to be a Margarita here – but you’ll have a bloody good time sipping one. The Beaver all but guarantees it.
