Lana is the centrepiece of Hinchcliff House, a multi-storey hospitality hub in Circular Quay that also includes Italian-inspired venues Grana, Apollonia and Bar Mammoni. It’s also the most concept-driven of the stable, and serves modern Italian dishes with broad Asian influences.

For example, creamy stracciatella might be dressed with Japanese shiso and konbu; and house-made rigatoni paired with a Chinese-inspired mapo ragu. Head chef Alex Wong also weaves native ingredients throughout the menu, from saltbush to desert lime.

Lana’s cocktail program is similarly inspired by Asia, and no experience here is complete without trying one. Think yuzu kosho Margaritas, toasted sesame Old Fashioneds, and a nonalc highlight of Hojicha Milk Tea.

Lana can be found on the first floor of the heritage-listed sandstone building, which originally operated as a wool store (one of only two of its kind remaining in Sydney) and has stood in Circular Quay since the late 1870s.
