Antonio Muollo started working at Sydney Fish Market in his early teens. For years, he’s watched shoppers circling the carpark looking for spots, then queuing for their seafood inside.
In 2017, he launched a solution: GetFish. The online store offers more than 200 products from De Costi Seafoods, his family’s shop at the market.
“It’s been an idea of mine since I was about 15,” Muollo said in 2017. “But now that I’ve finished school, I can do it.”

SIGN UPOh, did we mention he was 18 years old when he founded the company?
The store has pretty much anything a home cook could want or need: jars of caviar; raw and cooked prawns; Moreton Bay bugs; whole blue swimmer crab; oysters, mussels and pippis; filleted salmon, tuna and snapper; and whole snapper, barramundi and kingfish.
GetFish delivers within a 50-kilometre radius of the market, which comfortably includes Mona Vale, Castle Hill, Blacktown, Cabramatta and Cronulla. Order before midday on a weekday, and GetFish will deliver your seafood on the same day. Otherwise, the day after that. Delivery is a flat $10 and free for orders over $100.
Being this close to Christmas, the online store is already inundated with orders. Muollo has plenty of drivers zipping around town in a mix of branded vans and short-term rentals. N
“We launched at the right time,” he says. “I’ve got about 800 orders at the moment. But I think we’ll hit 1000 tomorrow.” He also says the pre-assembled platters have been “going mental”, which is no surprise given how easy they are to plonk in the middle of a table packed with relatives.
For Christmas 2021, Get Fish is selling eleven different types of seafood boxes (including oyster, lobster and Moreton Bay bug boxes) for delivery on December 23 and 24.
