Bread & Bone
For too long ravenous city dwellers went to bed on an empty stomach or worse yet, slummed it with dodgy fast food. But hungry night owls of Adelaide rejoice – there’s a place where “open late” well and truly means late.
Bread & Bone Wood Grill is a late-night food haunt promising the likes of soft shell crab burger and eight hot dog options well into the night. The hot dogs are legitimately gourmet and include vienna, bratwurst or weisswurst sausage.
The long bench tables cater for communal eating with friends, but if you’d prefer a slightly more private experience, jump on a stool at the bar and sample a forever rotating, but always interesting, range of beers on tap.
While you can’t make a reservation, a packed Bread & Bone won’t ruin your feasting plans. If there’s no room on arrival, head downstairs to its sister bar Maybe Mae for a cocktail and wait to be called by the friendly staff.
