In 1991, Goodies & Grains set up shop next to Adelaide Central Market with just a small selection of bulk buy pantry staples. Today, the store stocks more than 5000 products, with a range that’s constantly changing to keep up with customer requests and current food trends.

If you’re looking for something obscure, chances are you’ll find it here. But kimchi and kombucha aside, there’s a solid selection of fresh nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, dried fruits, lentils and muesli blends. Where possible, products are organic and sourced from local growers and suppliers, with many sold by weight, so you can buy as much or as little as you like.

An in-store kitchen serves vibrantly coloured juice concoctions, grainy salads, wraps and bowls. All the food is made daily on site, using fresh market produce and products from their shelves.

Sweet tooths are also well catered for, with raw chocolate tarts, dairy-free mousses, chia puddings and bliss balls in every flavour imaginable, as well as a range of hot drinks including house-made chai and the signature golden turmeric milk.

The team shares its changing daily menus and updates from the kitchen on social media, so you can keep up to date with what’s being served and plan your lunch break accordingly.
