Big Shed Brewing Concern
Menu - Mr Yum
Jason Harris and Craig Basford forged their friendship on their love for brewing. They started off as amateur home brewers, brewing from premade kits in a giant agricultural shed in Lyndoch, Barossa Valley. It was here they developed a passion for making fun craft beer.
After discovering they had a knack for the craft, they quickly progressed to brewing from scratch. Their friends and immediate family were so impressed, Harris and Basford decided to go for it and develop their business.
Big Shed Brewing Concern has since won awards at the Adelaide Beer and Cider Awards and the Craft Beer Industry Association Awards.
It churns out four core beers – KolsChisel German pale, Californicator West Coast IPA, Frankenbrown American brown ale and F-Yeah American pale ale – plus limited edition seasonal brews. The entire range is made on site and named to fit with the “let’s keep beer fun” theme.
The industrial shed houses an open bar area littered with stools, tables and chairs. The atmosphere is usually energetic. To match the beer, the kitchen opens on Friday and Saturday evenings, serving burgers and other small bites.
