In exciting news for cross-country travellers, Jetstar today made its first direct flight between Sydney and Busselton Margaret River, and launched a serious sale to celebrate.

The flights – which kicked off just in time for the Easter holiday – will operate on an Airbus 320 three times a week, ferrying 50,000 passengers between the destinations. The move comes almost two years after Jetstar launched a Melbourne-Busselton route.

The Sydney to Margaret River flight will clock in at about five hours, which is the same length as Sydney to Perth flights and allows travellers to skip the three-hour drive from Perth CBD to the region.
